Origins
A star is born. Four prototypes, a user interview, and a desire for a new way to play TTRPGs. Co-founded in August 2024 by Mitchel Pigsley and Dylan Kuzelka. A friendship older than the idea. A duo with years of experience in both in-person tabletop play and professionally architecting digital craft.
We built Realms of Shod because the same problem was repeating at our tables. Available software was not deepening our immersion like we wanted. Clunky tools, dead worlds, workflows that made the GM feel like a system administrator instead of a storyteller. The tabletop community deserves better. So we built a platform that holds space for the table, as they do what they do best. Roleplay.
As a grass roots group we are investing blood, sweat, and tears in this project. We answer to no one but the storytelling community we're building for, and our team.
